
FLALC has a proven capacity to manage projects. The organisation hasgrown at an outstanding rate and has a reputation as a leading CDEPoperation. It services 164 CDEP participants in differing locations, programsand enterprises.
Associated Activities
Forster Local Aboriginal Land Council covers a geographical area fromthe Pacific Ocean in the East to the Central Highlands beyond Gloucesterin the West, from Seal Rocks in the South to Hallidays Point in the North.Approximately 500 Indigenous people live within these boundaries with themajority of the population residing in the Forster/Tuncurry area (422 people- ABS 1996 Census).
Management
An independent review of FLALC by Walter & Turnbull in February1998 found the following conclusion:
